Never pass up an opportunity to testify of Jesus Christ!! - Cerritos (Norwalk) California

I read this quote in my come follow me study last week that really stood out to me, and I actually talked about it in church yesterday! I wanted to share it with you all:)

"The truth is, those who diligently seek to learn of Christ eventually will come to know Him. They will personally receive a divine portrait of the Master, although it most often comes in the form of a puzzle—one piece at a time. Each individual piece may not be easily recognizable by itself; it may not be clear how it relates to the whole. Each piece helps us to see the big picture a little more clearly. Eventually, after enough pieces have been put together, we recognize the grand beauty of it all. Then, looking back on our experience, we see that the Savior had indeed come to be with us—not all at once but quietly, gently, almost unnoticed."
- Elder Uchtdorf; Waiting on the Road to Damascus

I love the thought that we can build a beautiful relationship through consistent, daily experiences with Him. Because we gain this picture piece by piece instead of all at once, we end up with a much more rich, deep, and real relationship with Christ. We can gain these puzzle pieces by doing things that help us to know Him better; learning about Him in the scriptures, emulating His life and His attributes, making and keeping covenants with Him, paying attention to and acting on the still small promptings of the Holy Ghost, sharing our witness of Him with others, repenting and utilizing His Atonement, and walking the path of discipleship. I think writing this talk helped me reflect on my own experiences drawing closer to the Savior, and what those have meant for me. I feel so blessed that I get to focus on this for a whole year and a half! And that I have opportunities to testify of the Savior every single day. That has been the biggest blessing in my life. I know that a testimony is found in the bearing of it <3 I encourage you all to find opportunities to testify of Christ this week too!

I've just been reflecting a lot on how the Savior can change us for the better if we let Him. I have been so changed because of my experiences on my mission, and I know that I'll cherish this spiritual growth and refinement for the rest of my life:,)

I'll also cherish the people I get to serve and serve with! I love all of our friends, and our ward, and my companion, and I'm just praying to stay here for the rest of my mission haha. Norwalk has so much potential, there are so many people that are ready to hear our message!! I love being a disciple of Jesus Christ- it's the best thing I could ever hope to be. I know that is where true joy is found!!

Here are some things I loved from my personal study this week:)
